Theresa had a rough night last night. As Dan had mentioned, they took her off of the IV and that led to a lot of pain. Eventually they put her back onto the IV at around 9pm. For the next 3 hours Theresa kept pressing the button that administers the medication, but she didn't feel any relief from the pain. Finally they figured out that there was a problem with the machine and she hadn't been getting any medication over those 3 hours.
They fixed that and the medication helped to dull the pain. Still, she had a lot of trouble falling asleep, and didn't doze off until 3am. The doctors woke her up at 6:30am to discuss her pain situation. They then decided to take her off of the IV again and administer the same medication orally in hopes that the pain would be manageable without an IV. That would lead to Theresa being able to go home.
After taking the oral medication Theresa started experiencing dizziness and nausea. That eventually led to her throwing up.
The nurses had been prepping her to go home, but once she threw up they said that she would have to stay a little longer.
One thing that Theresa made clear when I spoke to her was that she has no interest in going home right now. She feels like that would be rushing things, and that she'd most likely be very uncomfortable there.
She was pretty tired when we spoke (at around 2pm) and she was going to try and get some rest.

Rest and medication will soon do their job! Your body has been through so much and needs time, time, and more time. It is telling you to take it slow and steady...I can tell from your brothers' messages that you know this. Wait until you are ready, and your return home will be joyous and comfortable! You are in my special prayers every day, Theresa! Love,
