Settling in at home

Theresa asked me to post another update for her. She said it is difficult to post updates herself due to the medication. It makes her drowsy and she has a hard time focusing. She did say that once she is feeling a little more normal, she'll start making updates herself.

Right now she is settling in at home. Kurt set her up with a recliner in the living room where she can watch her new TV. She said she watched the season premiere of Lost last night. I asked her to give me a recap of the show (which I had watched as well) to see how groggy she really was. That wasn't really fair. If you watch the show, you know how confusing it can be even if you aren't on painkillers. She actually remembered quite a bit, but she's going to watch it again since she has it on Tivo.

She said it is hard to be at home and not do anything. So far, she has only walked around the halls for exercise since it is so cold and icy outside. She is only allowed to walk up and down the stairs once per day, so she only goes upstairs when it is time to go to bed.

A nurse stops by every day to check in on her and she also had two "babysitters" - Tori and Sophia Gibbs to keep her company and help around the house.

Keep the comments coming. Theresa said they make a huge difference in her day.

  4. Theresa, here we are again. Amelia and I are glued to the computer to see what your update is! (just to give you a visual :)) I hope the pain is manageable and your doing OK with doing nothing at home. It's hard to just sit there when you want so badly to get back to your normal routine. You are always on our minds (do you hear me singing? Amelia is getting fussy, so I had to break out in song!)
    Love you!
